Process is the scaffolding to support growth
You will not get your company to the next level by keeping your processes in your head and winging it as you go.
Gino Wickman - Traction
Too many leaders only lead. Read that again; it's pretty good.
Leaders often lead their teams instead of creating processes that allow their teams to grow and thrive on their own.
If an organization is dependent on one leader to lead, that leader's capacity is the limit of the organization's growth. When this happens, that leader will hit a point where they are more of a hindrance to growth than a facilitator of it. No leader I know wants that.
To grow an organization, the leader has to put other leaders and processes in place that become the scaffolding for organizational growth.
If you are a leader, make sure you are doing more than just leading today. Build for tomorrow as well.
